We Focus on Shea Communities

More on what we do:

The shea sector is beginning to gain attention. However, there is a lot that these communities lack, despite being custodians of this precious resource. We believe that we can work closely with these communities to build sustainable ecosystems. This becomes a multifaceted approach and straddles 16 out of the 17 SDGs; see list below:

  1. No Poverty (SDG 1): Eradicate poverty in all its forms, ensuring everyone has access to basic necessities like food, shelter, and education.

  2. Zero Hunger (SDG 2): End hunger, achieve food security, improve nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture.

  3. Good Health and Well-Being (SDG 3): Ensure healthy lives and well-being for all, focusing on disease prevention, healthcare access, and mental health.

  4. Quality Education (SDG 4): Ensure inclusive and equitable education for all, promoting lifelong learning opportunities.

  5. Gender Equality (SDG 5): Achieve gender equality and empower women and girls, addressing discrimination and promoting equal rights.

  6. Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG 6): Ensure access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene, aiming to improve health and well-being.

  7. Affordable and Clean Energy (SDG 7): Promote sustainable energy sources, enhance energy efficiency, and expand access to reliable energy.

  8. Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8): Foster inclusive economic growth, full employment, and decent work conditions.

  9. Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure (SDG 9): Build resilient infrastructure, promote sustainable industrialization, and foster innovation.

  10. Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10): Reduce inequalities within and among countries, addressing disparities in income, wealth, and opportunities.

  11. Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11): Create inclusive, safe, and resilient cities, focusing on urban planning and sustainable development.

  12. Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12): Promote sustainable consumption patterns, efficient resource use, and waste reduction.

  13. Climate Action (SDG 13): Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts, including adaptation and mitigation strategies.

  14. Life Below Water (SDG 14): Conserve and sustainably use oceans, seas, and marine resources to protect marine life.

  15. Life on Land (SDG 15): Protect, restore, and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, forests, and biodiversity.

  16. Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17): Strengthen global partnerships for sustainable development, involving governments, businesses, and civil society.
