Charity has a new face; social impact through SIGF

For us at Shea Integrated Global Foundation (SIGF), working in communities and women threw up something obvious, real poverty, low opportunities and a lot of pain. But we also saw real opportunity for sustainable transformation. Each of these communities had something to leverage. So we focused on Shea, which is abundant in many of these communities and an ingredient that is part of a multi billion dollar industry and growing.

Developing this product alongside the women and linking them to the right markets, partners and capacity building support is slowly but certainly making an impact in their lives and community at large. This is a journey we are excited about and wish that you would join us in same.

Meeting SDG’s through enterprise is the new normal.

UN-women reports on its website that “research indicates that when more income is put into the hands of women, child nutrition, health and education improves.” It is our primary goal to see to these all round improvements by planning and executing programs that empower the rural woman economically and more.

Who are we?

We are You. Caring father, loving mother, concerned student, a brother or sister, we are the neighbor next door. We simply are more than the management team because you are a part of us. You share in our vision of helping to transform communities and nations one woman at a time. We do this through training, advocacy, networking, providing access to markets, collaboration and more. Above all, we are a movement because you are one of those who cares enough to share from your wealth of experience, your finances, showing depth of care and support .

So, at the core we leverage the shea value chain to help provide a better life for these rural women.
